Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole sessions are held over a 10 week period in the Fall and Spring. The program meets two days a week for one hour and 15 minutes after school. All girls in grades 3-5 and grades 6-8 are encouraged to join the program regardless of previous running experience and level of physical fitness.

Season Details

  • Registration for the Spring 2017 season opens on January 4, 2017.   Practices will begin the week of February 6th for most of our sites but will begin the week of January 31st at St. Andrew's Priory.
  • We are thrilled to announce that the venue for our Spring 5K is Wet 'n' Wild Hawaii!  All of our Spring 2017 GOTR girls, as well as all of our other Spring 5K participants, will receive free admission to enjoy the rest of 5K day at the water park after our celebratory run.  Girls on the Run is so much fun!

How to Register for Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole

A parent/guardian must complete the online registration form for each girl. Once you’ve completed the registration process, you will receive an e-mail confirming that your application has been received. Please check that you’ve received an e-mail following your registration.

After open registration closes, all registered participants will receive follow-up emails notifying them of their status.

Girls whose schools are oversubscribed (20+ girls per program for Girls on the Run and 15+ girls per program for Heart & Sole) will be automatically entered into a random lottery. Once the lottery is completed, parents will be notified whether their daughter has been added to the team, or not.  Girls that were not selected during the lottery will be place on a wait list until the close of the second week of the season.

Health history forms, liability and photo waivers must be completed online in order to register for the program.
