Get out your clipboard, lace up your sneakers, and inspire a group of girls to be strong and healthy. Teams of volunteer coaches facilitate our easy-to-follow curriculum with groups of 8 to 20 girls over the 10-week season. Amidst the conversation, laughter, hugs and energy awards, you will witness transformational change in the girls—and don’t be surprised if you realize that you are positively changing as well! The program may end in 10 weeks, but for our coaches and girls, the finish line is just the beginning.
Visit Coaches Corner for more information on how to get involved as a coach.
Help bring GOTR to your local school or organization as the main contact person to coordinate with GOTR at this site throughout the season.
Each Girls on the Run season concludes with a 5k celebration. The 5k event takes over 40 volunteers to be a success. We depend on volunteers to serve as greeters, running buddies, course marshals, manage start and finish lines, water stops, hair stations, set up and tear down and much more. We have a job for everyone who wants to help!
Helps us develop relationships with community partners; design and implement our fundraising plan; identify, apply to, and secure grants, and works with other teams to promote our program.
Organizes all aspects of our end-of-the-season 5ks, one in November and one in April.
We always need help with community outreach events including working water stations, representing GOTR at a local event or expo, helping assemble race materials, or organizing projects. This is a great position for those who don’t have time to coach, but still want to be involved in GOTR.
