Liz has coached Heart & Sole and Girls on Track at Le Jardin Academy since the spring of 2013 and is also a cross country coach at LJA. She loves seeing how GOTR girls become joyful, healthy and confident as they move through the program and how they shine at our end-of-season 5Ks. She is so thankful to be able to share her passion for running and the positive philosophies of GOTR with girls in our community. She loves running anything from a 5K to a marathon, but her favorite distance is the half marathon, which she now gets to do with her two daughters, who are both GOTR alumnae!
Jenni loves being a part of the GOTR Hawaii ohana. She has served on the board since the organization was established in Hawaii in 2012. During the week, she works as a civilian contracting officer for the Department of Defense, and enjoys serving in the community, running, swimming, hiking, and traveling with her husband Bruce in her free time. Jenni strives to live out the core values of GOTR daily. She believes it is important for girls to learn to love themselves, others, and the community around them - and to strive to be the best version of themselves each day to make a difference in the world.
Alana is thrilled to be a part of Girls on the Run of Hawaii! Not only does she have a passion for running but she is also committed to having a positive impact on our community. Alana grew up in Hawaii, attending public schools in Kaneohe and Mililani. She left the islands to attend Boston University, and then lived in Las Vegas for a few years before returning home. Once back in Hawaii, Alana worked at the Sex Abuse Treatment Center prior to pursuing a law degree at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. For several years, she practiced as a civil litigation attorney in a large Honolulu law firm. At the end of 2012, she returned to the Sex Abuse Treatment Center to lead its public policy advocacy efforts. She enjoys distance running, especially the Honolulu Marathon; challenging hikes, like Mount Olympus and Ka‘au Crater; and practicing yoga to strengthen and balance her body, mind, and spirit.
Justina relocated from North Carolina 2 years. After spending most of her life on the east coast, she decided to return to the state where she was born, to live out her “island” dream. After volunteering as a coach with GOTR Charlotte, Justina realized her interest in being involved with an organization that shares the same values of nurturing the emotional, physical, and spiritual health of young girls. She has a strong dedication to exercise and enjoys pushing the limits with physical fitness in order to reach her full potential. Justina is very excited to be a part of an organization that seeks to mentor young girls around the island of Oahu.
I joined the GOTR Board in 2015 and enjoyed coaching my first Spring season at Punahou School. Since becoming involved in GOTR, I am able to see the impact of the program on the girls to reach their greatest potential. Working in healthcare, I am passionate about the future health of girls and young women. I believes that GOTR is an empowering program that improves both the physical and emotional health of the participants.
