Course Map

The 5K Course is a 3.1 mile course around Kakaako Waterfront Park. The 5K participants will pass a water stop on mile 1 and on mile 2. Cheer Teams will also be placed along the course to cheer on the girls and 5K participants.

Packet Pick-Up

Girls who are currently participating in the program are already registered for the 5K and will receive their 5K materials (bibs, pins, goody bags) from their coaches on the morning of the event. For all other 5K participants (Running Buddies, coaches, family members and community participants), packet pick-up information is as follows:

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the 5k run take?

Finishing times vary of course, but our fastest runners will complete the run in about 25 minutes. Most runners will fall between 30-45 minutes We will be sweeping the course at one hour from the starting time to ensure all runners have returned to the starting area.

Are there aid stations available?

Water will be available at the start. Two Aid stations will be available on the course. Each participant should plan to take no more than two servings of water at each Aid Station. Runners are also encouraged to bring water bottles along on the course. Additional water and snacks will be available at the finish line.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking in the lot next to Kakaako Waterfront Park.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

For safety, all furry friends are not allowed on the course or at the event, so please leave all pets at home on 5K day! All pets will be asked to return to the pet owner's vehicle if spotted at the event.

CAN I BRING MY STROLLER?

Sure! Please try to line up near the back of the race pack, though.

This event would not be possible without the help of amazing volunteers who believe in our mission and show up to support our girls. We need 50-60 volunteers to put on our best 5K yet! Whatever your skills and talents, we have a role for everyone.

OPPORTUNITIES
Registration, Check In

Volunteers will help with 5K registration, assisting pre-registered runners and event day runners. Approximate arrival time 6:00 a.m. Time commitment is 1.5 to 2 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 18 years of age.

Operations

Volunteers will help with logistics and operations. Potential responsibilities include: parking attendant, helping to distribute water to runners, serving as a course marshal. Approximate time of arrival is 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Time commitment is about 3 hours. These volunteer opportunities are best suited for adults, older teens and adult groups.

Hospitality

Volunteers will help greet race participants and families upon arrival and direct them to the race village. Assistance will also be needed with runner refreshments and medal distribution at the finish line, and at the information and merchandise tents. Approximate time of arrival is 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Time commitment is 2 to 3 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 18 years of age.

SETUP AND CLEANUP

Volunteers will help with setting up or breaking down the race course and race village. Approximate arrival time for setup volunteers is 5:30 am; cleanup volunteers should arrive at 8:00 a.m. Time commitment is 1.5 to 2 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 18 years of age.
